Dear KYP SDC,

To improve the quality education under KYP program, we are bringing few changes in eligibility criteria of candidates for KYP examination. Candidates who will score 48 or above Internal Marks and have completed 80% classroom and lab sessions per course on or before the cut-off date will be considered eligible for appearing in Final KYP Examination. The cut-off date for any KYP batch will be 80th Day (including holidays mentioned in the SDC Holiday Calendar) from the date of commencement of batch. However, the exact cut-off date will be declared at the time of declaration examination for the batch.

SDCs should ensure that all candidates will attend not less than 80% of their classroom and Lab sessions. Candidates who do not qualify for final exam till above cut-off date will not get a chance to complete their learning under any circumstances and hence will be treated as non-eligible. All such candidates may be considered for only successive KYP batch admission in the same SDC.

A candidate who has scored aggregate 60 marks in internal assessment and final examination will be treated as Pass. The eligible marks and passing marks for all three courses of KYP are same. If a candidate appears for the examination and obtains less than 60 marks, then he/she will be given chance to appear for next examination. In such a way he/she will get maximum 1+2 successive examination attempts. If he/she remain absent in all of his/her exam attempts or fails in all of the attempts, then such candidates may be considered for only successive KYP batch admission in the same SDC.
